A year ago now, the Swiss people renewed their federal authorities. The agrarian representatives emerged strengthened, particularly in Romandie. These elections were the beginnings of the “peasant revolt” at the start of 2024. The demands of the peasant world, which I fully support, are legitimate: less bureaucracy and controls, fewer absurd so-called “ecological” obligations. , as well as – and above all – an increase in the prices of agricultural production.

Both the people and a (small) majority in parliament share these concerns. As proof, in Parliament, I want the definitive repeal of the measure of 3.5% of areas for promoting biodiversity on open lands, or even, more recently, the acceptance of my motion requesting the removal of the obligation of the Digiflux computer program for agricultural operations.
