Manif d’art is pleased to reveal the names of the artists selected for the 32nd edition of the Videre Visual Arts Awards. These awards highlight the talent of creators from the Quebec region at different stages of their careers. The presentation of these awards will take place during the Awards of Excellence in Arts and Culture Gala, next Monday, November 25 at 4:30 p.m. at the Manivelle center of the Saint-Charles-de-Limoilou church.

VIDERE PRIZE – UPCOMING VISUAL ARTS

This prize is awarded to an emerging artist with less than 7 years of practice, whose recent production stands out from the rest of the artistic programming for the 2023-2024 season, in the Quebec region. This Prize is awarded by the Faculty of planning, architecture, art and design of University. The finalists are:

  • Danielle Cormier for his exhibition What’s left of it presented at the Visual Arts Gallery;
  • Jean Michel René For his exhibition In troubled waters presented at the Canadian Institute – Aliette-Marchand Library;
  • Sarah Toung Ondo For his exhibition Constellation of floating bodiespresented at the Canadian Institute – Félix-Leclerc Library.

VIDERE PRIZE – CREATION IN VISUAL ARTS

This prize is awarded to an artist with 7 years of practice or more, whose recent production has stood out from the entire artistic program for the 2023-2024 season, in the Quebec region. This Prize is awarded by Manif d’art. The finalists are:

  • Eve Cadieux for his exhibition Unlikely places presented at Galerie.a;
  • Magali Hébert-Huot for his exhibition Trame-Hatch presented at the Visual Arts Gallery;
  • Bill Vincent For exhibition Dried up presented at the Louise-Carrier Exhibition Center.
