Aged 49, the victim did not survive his injuries while other hunters tried to resuscitate him this Sunday, November 3, in the town of Coly-Saint-Amand.
Last season, six people lost their lives in hunting accidents. This year, and while the season is not yet over, the world of hunting is in its fourth accident.
Indeed, this Sunday, November 3, a 49-year-old man was found dead during a hunt in the town of Coly-Saint-Amand. According to France Bleu Périgord, the victim was discovered by his companions, who tried to resuscitate him, and had a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
The forty-year-old finally died before help arrived.

Contacted by our colleagues, the Périgueux public prosecutor's office confirmed that the latter presented “an injury appearing to come from a gunshot”, but that the “circumstances of death remain to be determined”.
As for the deceased's entourage, the hunters claimed to have heard a gunshot while the mayor of the town confided that it could have been a “accident”, “perhaps mishandling his rifle”.
An autopsy was requested by the Public Prosecutor's Office and an investigation was opened to determine the exact cause of death. Several hunters were interviewed by the gendarmes this Sunday.
