Intelligent lighting that revolutionizes visual well-being

Founded by a visionary optometrist, Polux is redefining lighting by combining intelligent technology and design. Its objective: to provide optimal visual comfort to everyone, thanks to a lamp that adapts to ambient light.

Polux was created in 2020, under the leadership of Paul Dupeyre, an optometrist by trade, and his co-founder Marion Guiraud. The initial idea was to design a lamp intended for visually impaired people. Today, the Polux lamp is aimed at a much wider audience, from schoolchildren to seniors, including professionals, thanks to its intelligent lighting. “A sensor in the head of the lamp measures ambient light, and throughout the day, the lamp automatically adjusts its intensity to preserve visual comfort,” explains Paul Dupeyre.

Made in Occitania, the Polux lamp is available in five colors and is suitable for different uses: bedside lamp, office lamp or even for manual activities such as drawing. It is already marketed via an e-commerce site, specialized opticians and office fitters, thus meeting the needs of both individuals and businesses.

Innovation at the heart of Polux’s development

Since December 2023, the industrialization of the Polux lamp has really taken off. The company strives to combine visual well-being, technology and design, with a clear ambition: to become a benchmark in the field of intelligent lighting. This commitment was recognized by winning the Made in 2023 Product of the Year Grand Prize.

Polux doesn't stop there. “We are currently developing a new support, a table edge vice, which will be available by the end of the year,” announces Paul Dupeyre. At the same time, the company invests in research and development to launch new innovative products. This dynamism is supported by the -Mazamet technology park incubator and the Réseau Entreprendre Tarn Aveyron, as well as by local associations such as Handitech, dedicated to disability.

Promising commercial development

Since September 2024, Romain, an apprentice in Marketing, Communication and Entrepreneurship, has joined the team to support commercial development. The company sets up trial weeks for its lamps for businesses, allowing their employees to test the products and appreciate their benefits. “We are experiencing a phase of commercial acceleration and we are concentrating our resources on development without ever neglecting R&D,” explains Paul Dupeyre.

Polux will be present at the Salon du Made in France in November 2024 in , an opportunity to strengthen its visibility, continue its expansion but also to present their new product. With its intelligent and eco-responsible lamp model, the company has established itself as a key player in lighting, combining innovation, visual well-being and local manufacturing.
