Two men, suspected of having participated in the shooting outside a nightclub in Saint-Péray (Drôme) which cost the life of Nicolas (22), were arrested Monday evening. Interventions in Marseille and Cavaillon led to the arrest of these two individuals.
Four days after the death of Nicolas Dumas (22 years old), this young rugby player killed in front of a nightclub in Saint-Péray, in Drôme, two men were arrested this Monday evening. They are suspected of having participated in the shooting, which left one dead and two injured, during the night from Thursday to Friday.
In Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône), in the city of Bricarde, Bac Nord police officers arrested a young man aged 20, originally from Italy. Arrested at a deal point, at 6:25 p.m. according to the Privas public prosecutor, he is suspected of being the author of the shooting. In Cavaillon (Vaucluse), it was his alleged accomplice, aged 23, known to the courts and suspected of having driven the vehicle in front of the nightclub, who was arrested at 8:25 p.m.
According to the Privas prosecutor, the man who opened fire, hooded and dressed in black, arrived on foot, calm, walking with his hands in his pockets before taking out a pistol. Then located about forty meters from the entrance, he opened fire on the groups of young people in front of the box four or five times. One of the bullets then fatally injured the young rugby player in the head.
A white march organized this Wednesday
These arrests were possible thanks to the coordination of the police services, explains Bruno Bartocetti, delegate of the southern zone of the Unité union.
“It was very well coordinated with the arrest in Cavaillon of an alleged perpetrator of the murder of this rugby player as well as that of his accomplice, also in Marseille. They will have to respond for several hours, especially if we discover that we are on drug charges, since in this case police custody can last up to 96 hours. They will have to answer in particular for their schedule and their situation at the time of the death of this rugby player,” he indicates.
On Wednesday, an apolitical white march is organized by his rugby club to pay tribute to Nicolas.
