For its seventh edition, after deliberation by the members of the jury on the evening of November 3, 2024, the André Malraux Prize jury revealed its winners in the “Engaged Fiction” and “Essay on Art” categories. A special jury prize was also awarded.
The winners of the André Malraux Prize 2024
- Committed fiction: Dangerous species of Sergueï Shikalov (Threshold)
- Essay on art: Ten versions of Kafka of Maïa Hruska (Grasset)
- Special Jury Prize: Malraux before Christ of François de Saint-Cheron (Unlock the Brows)
« The creation of the André Malraux literary prize is a way of perpetuating the memory of this immense writer whose work remains a source of enlightenment, dazzlingness and commitment. With André Malraux, it is the values of commitment and artistic creation that are at the forefront of the Human Condition », Explains a press release.
The winners are rewarded with a prize of 1933 euros (year of Goncourt for The Human Condition by André Malraux). The special Jury prize is not awarded.
The André Malraux Prize jury is made up of Cécile Guilbert, Céline Malraux, Diana Picasso, Alexandre Duval-Stalla (president, lawyer and legal columnist at Weekly Books), Adrien Goetz, Matthieu Garrigou-Lagrange, Mamadou Mahmoud N'Dongo et Matthew Simonet.
