Sundgau: numerous burglaries during the All Saints’ Day weekend
Several burglaries were noted in Sundgau over the All Saints' Day weekend. Friday 1is November shortly after 8 p.m., a burglary was noted on rue de la Promenade in Tagholsheim in a detached house. The perpetrator(s) took advantage of the absence of the occupants between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to break a window. Jewelry and cash were taken. The same day, another burglary was noted shortly before 9:30 p.m., in a detached house on rue de Wittersdorf in Walheim. The events occurred between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. in the absence of the owners, a window was broken. The damage is currently being estimated. The findings were made by the Illfurth gendarmerie brigade.
A theft, without a break-in this time, still on the 1stis November, took place on rue de Mulhouse in Balschwiller, between 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., while the owner had gone to walk his dog without locking the door. There too, jewelry and cash disappeared. The Pfetterhouse brigade is investigating.
Saturday, November 2, small tools were stolen from a barn, the theft noted around 7 a.m. The barn door was broken, rue de la Victoire in Berentzwiller. The theft allegedly occurred the day before between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.
In Saint-Bernard, it was at 12:30 p.m. on November 2 that the alert was given for a burglary on Rue Principale, due to the break-in of a window on the ground floor of a home. The theft occurred between 6 p.m. the day before and noon the next day. The same day, another theft was noted shortly after 9:15 p.m., rue d'Altkirch in Wittersdorf, where a door was forced between 7 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. In both cases, the assessment of the damage is underway , the Altkirch gendarmerie brigade is responsible for the investigation.
Finally, on Sunday November 3, another burglary report was made at 7:55 p.m., rue d'Alsace in Chavannes-sur-l'Étang, by the Dannemarie gendarmerie brigade: a living room French window was forced between 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The damage is being estimated, jewelry and perfumes have disappeared. The gendarmerie recommends the greatest vigilance.
Saint-Louis: driving without insurance
Friday 1is November at 7 p.m., police officers from the Ludovicien police station carried out a check on the vehicle of a resident of Hagenthal-le-Haut, rue de Mulhouse in Saint-Louis, a vehicle which was traveling without insurance. Aged 27, the driver will be summoned later to the police station to be interviewed.
Huningue: a car on fire
Police officers from the Saint-Louis police station went to rue de l'Industrie in Huningue on Sunday, November 3. It was 11:50 p.m. when witnesses reported a vehicle on fire, not far from the site of an illegal Traveler settlement. Around an hour earlier, a police check had taken place in the area.
Saint-Louis: police, residents and travelers
Because they refused to install Travelers, residents of the rue des Trois-Rois area in Saint-Louis, during the weekend, on several occasions cut off the power supply to terminals to which illegal connections to the Water and electricity networks would have been operated by these travelers. Connections that the latter would have restarted shortly after. The Saint-Louis police intervened to calm the spirits on both sides.
Willer: leaving the road
Friday 1is November around 11:45 p.m., a driver traveling on the D16II in Willer in the direction of Illtal left the road. The motorist, originally from Wahlbach, was transported to Saint-Louis hospital for check-ups by firefighters from the Waldighoffen rescue center; the report was made by the Durmenach gendarmerie brigade.
Carspach: green waste dumpster on fire
A fire broke out on Saturday November 2 at 11:20 p.m. in a green waste bin on rue du Moulin in Carspach, leading to the intervention of firefighters from the Altkirch rescue center. The Altkirch gendarmerie brigade also went to the scene.
Sternenberg: fall of a cyclist
An accident occurred on Sunday November 3 shortly before 11 a.m. on the RD32V between Sternenberg and Guevenatten where a group of cyclists were traveling, one of whom fell. Suffering from hip pain, the 48-year-old cyclist, originally from Buhl, was transported to the Mulhouse hospital center. The Dannemarie gendarmerie brigade went to the scene.
