Donald Trump: Ukraine, a conflict to be resolved “in 24 hours”
Donald Trump keeps hammering home: if he returns to the White House in 2025, he will end the war in Ukraine “in 24 hours”.
The former president, who sharply criticizes the massive financial and military support granted to kyiv by the Biden administration and maintains an ambiguous relationship with the Russian president, affirms in his meetings that he would force Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin to negotiate, even if it means that Ukraine abandons certain occupied territories.

His position reflects a marked isolationist shift within the Republican Party, where Trumpist elected officials now systematically oppose new aid to Ukraine. Trump also suggested that European countries should shoulder more of the financial burden to support Ukraine.
Kamala Harris: unfailing support
In line with Joe Biden, Kamala Harris promised to support Ukraine “as long as it takes”. The vice president met with Volodymyr Zelensky six times during her mandate. Last month, she said she refused to meet Vladimir Putin to discuss the conflict without kyiv present.
“We support Ukraine’s ability to defend itself against Russia’s aggression,” she insisted. She nevertheless remained more cautious about the country's possible accession to NATO.
