Israel: Hostage families demand disclosure of leaks from Netanyahu’s office

The Hostage Families Association filed a motion Saturday evening to join the demand to lift the publication ban on the leaks from the Prime Minister’s Office. This affair would directly touch on the question of the feasibility of an agreement for the return of the hostages.
“The interest of the Committee, as an organization bringing together numerous families of hostages, takes precedence over any general public interest,” states the Association in its request. The families wish to have access to “any document likely to shed light on the negotiations for the release of the hostages or the opposition to their release. »
Faced with the “media manipulations” denounced in their request, the families claim their right to direct and complete information. “Human lives depend on it, the lives of the hostages as well as those of their families whose course of life stopped on October 7, 2023,” underlines the document.
“As the hourglass nears its end, as we hear of hostages who have lost their lives, and as we assume that there are others whose days are numbered, each piece of information takes on a crucial importance,” says the Families Forum.
