What about the interventions of Sdis 66 in Bages?
In 2023, the number of interventions rose to 178 (one on average, every other day). It was 210 the previous year: a drop of 15%. At the departmental level, there was also a drop but only 7.6%.

The municipality is thus well below the departmental average which stands at 71 interventions per 1,000 inhabitants. The distribution of interventions by disaster category was as follows: 147 for personal assistance, 12 for fires (including 7 plant fires and 5 urban fires), 10 for accidents, 7 for miscellaneous operations and 2 for assistance requests to a third-party service.
The emergency centers which intervened were the following (in % of cases): Elne (72.4%), Perpignan Sud (18.8%), Departmental health and medical emergency service (4.6%), Argelès-sur-Mer (2.5%) and the GPT Territorial Sud (1.7%).
What is the municipality's action?
A decree from the mayor of July 29, 2024 describes the measures taken to allow the water supply to the emergency resources of Sdis 66 during interventions in the municipality. It mentions the list of existing fire water points (hydrants and posts) numbering nine for Bages and the methods of control and maintenance of these. It specifies their essential signage to ensure their rapid and effective identification by the public, as well as by responding firefighters. It defines the bans on parking around them and the sanctions incurred in the event of non-compliance, which can go as far as impoundment.
