A 4-year-old child is in critical condition after being hit by a tram this Friday, November 1 in Sarcelles (Val-d'Oise). The events took place around 3:50 p.m., avenue de la Division-Leclerc, in the Grand Ensemble district, between the Les Cholettes and Butte Pinson stations, indicates a source close to the case, confirming information from the Parisian. According to the first elements of the investigation, two children were crossing the tracks when one of them was violently hit by a moving tram.
The driver, surprised by the sudden crossing of the children, did not have time to brake to avoid the collision. The child immediately received first aid on site by firefighters and a SMUR team, who then transported him in a state of absolute emergency to the Necker hospital in Paris (15th century), while he was between life and death.
The child's mother and the tram driver, both deeply shocked by the accident, were treated by firefighters on the scene.
Police officers from the Sarcelles police station secured the perimeter to allow emergency services to intervene and carried out observations to determine the exact circumstances of the accident. An investigation has been opened. Alcohol and drug tests carried out on the driver were negative.
