Seismic events in certain localities in Guinea in recent years have frightened citizens. The latest case has just occurred in the Gbagbarma district, located 18 kilometers from Kobikoro center.
Asked about this question, Félix Tolno, citizen residing in this locality explained: “on Friday October 25, 2024, we were sitting at night when we heard noises but in the meantime, it calmed down. On Saturday when we were watching the match, we heard the same noises again. When we left to go to bed, these noises started again with force. Several families heard and came out wondering what was wrong. People were turning on lights everywhere to see what was wrong. Everyone looked around their home. From 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. we were on our feet and no one slept. I changed homes three times because I was worried. The last house I went to when there was noise, I told myself that death will find me here and I won't move from there. Again on Sunday morning, the same noises were heard on the three main roads leading to our locality. On the night of last Monday, the same echoes were produced in the village.”

For now, fear and concern are winning over the hearts of these poor citizens who want a quick solution or even an appropriate explanation to be found for this geographical phenomenon.
