A fire broke out on a pig farm this Saturday, November 2, 2024, at a place called l'Hôpital, in Lamballe-Armor (Côtes-d'Armor). A building of approximately 1,400 m² was destroyed. More than forty firefighters were mobilized on site. The intervention is still in progress.

It was 7:35 a.m. this Saturday, November 2, 2024, when firefighters were called to a building fire in a pig farm, at the Hospital location, in Lamballe-Armor, in Côtes-d'Armor.

According to the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service, a building of approximately 1,400 m² was destroyed. Animals would have died. Three other buildings, housing nearly 4,000 animals, were spared by the actions of firefighters.

The intervention is still in progress

In total, 20 engines and 43 firefighters were on site to contain the fire. There were no casualties in the fire, but the response is still underway.

For the moment, the origin of the disaster is unknown.
