North Korea has reportedly sent troops to Russia's Kursk region, according to the United States. This would be the first time that another country has become directly involved in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

However, according to the United States, it is only a matter of days before these reinforcements are deployed on the battlefield.
Until now, there were only suspicions about the presence of North Korean troops. According to Antony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, information reaching him indicates that 8,000 North Korean troops have been deployed in the Kursk region.
