Résumé. On Wednesday March 7, 1984, Gérard Lebovici, a major French film producer, was found dead in his car with four bullets in the head. Nicknamed “King Lebo”, he is extremely influential in his community but remains little known to the general public. Even though he worked on most French films of the time, he did not like being in the spotlight and preferred to fade behind the artists.
Gérard Lebovici was not used to going to the parking lot in which he was found. The investigators follow several leads, until they come across a piece of paper on which it is written “François, 6:45 p.m., rue Vernet”, rue Vernet being a small street in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, right next to the parking lot…
In Crime story, journalist Clawdia Prolongeau recounts this investigation with Damien Delseny, head of the police-justice department of Le Parisien.
