Lieutenant Pascal Males, Head of the CIS. The first Pump-Tonne Light Road Rescue Van (FPTLSR) in the history of the Lot Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS) is now in service.
This so-called “mixed” vehicle has the particularity of being able to intervene in fire and road rescue missions. It is characterized by its side boxes dedicated, on the one hand, to the fire function and on the other hand, to road rescue with its extrication tools. This vehicle is intended to replace the FPTL (Light Pump-Tonne Van) and the VSR (Road Rescue Vehicle) in the center where it is assigned. The cost of the vehicle is €300,000 (€190,000 for chassis and €110,000 for equipment). On the technical side, it is a Renault D12 P4x2 Fire & Rescue 240 E6 whose equipment was carried out by the company Gimaex. It is armed with 4 personnel in road rescue mode and 6 in fire mode. This event was held in the presence of Jean-Marie Courtin, President of the Communauté Communes Quercy Bouriane and mayor of Gourdon, Colonel Hors Classe Jean-François Galtié, Lieutenant-Colonel Jérôme Ferrage, Head of the Technical and Logistics Group as well as of
numerous CIS staff who attended a detailed presentation of this new machine and the various accessories that make it up. The SDIS has planned, in its multi-year investment plan, to acquire 4 in total over 4 years.
