A young man ended Halloween night in hospital after falling ten meters in Toulouse. An accident against the backdrop of a festive evening and alcohol.
The festive evening ended badly on the night of Thursday to Friday, in the Cartoucherie district of Toulouse. Emergency services were alerted around 1 a.m. for a 22-year-old young man who had just fallen from the 2nd floor of a building.
This boy would have fallen forward after leaning on the railing of the balcony of the accommodation where the party was taking place. Under the frightened gazes of his loved ones, he then fell into the void. Once downstairs, stunned but conscious, he went back into the apartment helped by friends. But once the party location was found, the victim collapsed. His friends then quickly alerted the emergency services.
The victim was taken care of by a team from Smur 31 and the firefighters. She was evacuated to the emergency room of Purpan hospital. “The first assessment was rather reassuring,” the police reported this Friday morning. Pending further examinations, the “faller” mainly suffered from significant facial trauma.
According to the information collected from the participants in the evening by the police, the fall from the balcony was indeed accidental, linked to a loss of balance. The victim's alcoholic excesses and the euphoria of the evening could explain the incident.
Apart from this accident, and various “usual” infractions, Halloween night was not marked by major incidents in Toulouse.
