Eleven firefighters from the Loué and Sablé-sur-Sarthe emergency centers were called shortly before 10 a.m. this Friday 1is November 2024 for the fire of a vehicle on the A81 motorway, near Joué-en-Charnie (kilometer point 199). According to the Sarthe departmental fire and rescue service, it was a diesel car that caught fire, although we do not yet know the reasons.
A reported traffic jam
Firefighters put out the flames using a hose. For its part, Bison Futé announces slowdowns in the direction Rennes – Le Mans because of this incident, the number of traffic lanes was reduced.
Shortly before noon, the traffic jam stretched over 2.7 km, from kilometer points 199 to 201.
