Three people were arrested on the evening of Thursday October 31, Halloween, after car fires in Rilleux-la-Papenear Lyon, Agence France Presse learned from the Rhône prefecture.
In a video published on social networks, people with their faces hidden by a hood were traveling on foot on a city street near at least three cars and burning trash cans. Following these sporadic incidents which took place on the evening of the Halloween party, three people were arrested, according to the Rhône prefecture.
Very brief incidents also took place on Thursday between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. in Saint-Étienne, in the La Cotonne district. Trash cans were set on fire in the middle of the road near a police station which was closed at that time, according to a police source before calm quickly returns.
In Ardèche, as part of a “security measure on the occasion of Halloween”, the prefecture had banned the sale, possession and use of fireworks and pyrotechnic articlesas well as the unjustified purchase and transport of fuel by jerrycans or containers, from Thursday to Monday in the department.
