This Saturday, June 8, France Bleu La Rochelle immerses you in the ocean: what are the challenges for the coming years? What solutions can we imagine to preserve biodiversity? What impacts on us, on our diet? From coastal erosion to city policies, including fishing and gastronomy, France Bleu La Rochelle is committed to giving you the most faithful point of view possible on the problems and solutions imagined in Charente-Maritime, with a special broadcast from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. live on the radio and a round table organized at the La Rochelle Aquarium from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. You can register to attend by passing by.

What state is our ocean in? Micro-plastics, degassing, noise pollution, warming of water temperature, consequences on the marine world… We will talk about it with Valérie Ballu, director of LIENSs (Coastal Environment and Societies), Matthieu Coutant, biologist, director of the La Rochelle Aquarium, David Beaulieu, of the Echo-mer association.

How to manage ocean attacks and coastal erosion? Should we move residents who live by the sea? We will discuss it with Sophie Panonacle, president of the office of the National Council for the Sea and Coasts. And Lionel Quillet, president of the community of communes of Île de Ré.

Can we still live peacefully from the ocean? Marie-Christine Lahary, director of the Central Atlantic Association of Fishery Products Buyers, will come to debate the issue. At his side Martin Alessandrini, advocacy officer at the Tara foundation.

Strengths and resilience of the ocean. We will be to talk about it with Agnès Michelot, vice-president of the French Society for Environmental Law. Barthelemy Schlumberger of the NGO Bleu Versant and Ingrid Arnaudin, scientist, working on algae and health.
