And among those who very quickly captured the attention of viewers, there is that of Vanessa Kepler (Agathe de La Boulaye). The reason ? Behind his unparalleled coldness lie deep-seated wounds.

Vanessa Kepler, a mysterious character

Little appreciated by fans of the series, Vanessa Kepler is a business manager specializing in the field of finance and real estate. She is the mother of two children: Ulysse (Jeremy Charvet), a talented lawyer, and Ophélie (Morgue Frioux), a young woman who has suffered from agoraphobia since her adolescence.

In recent episodes of the TF1 daily, Vanessa opposed Luna and Blanche’s associative project, by submitting an offer to purchase the Pavillon des Fleurs, the former brothel that the two women wish to transform into an office.

But in this real estate battle, Vanessa’s dark secret was revealed in broad daylight. Indeed, Blanche remembered that they were both in the same class at school. At the time, Vanessa Kepler was called Corine Lentier. She was a very discreet child, but also the victim of school bullying. So, to try to forget her past, Vanessa Kepler decided to change her identity.

That’s not all, it turned out that Vanessa is the granddaughter of Rose, a former prostitute who worked at the Pavillon des Fleurs. So many revelations for this businesswoman and mother who has always fought not to reveal anything about her past, neither to the inhabitants of Mistral, nor to her children.

Thus, if Vanessa Kepler has created the shell of an uncompromising woman, it is simply to protect herself. Will the fact of having been unmasked free her from a weight? From now on, will she be more friendly with the inhabitants of Mistral?

While waiting to find out more, we’ll tell you more about Agathe de La Boulaye, who plays the character of Vanessa Kepler in the series. No doubt, you have already seen this actress on the small and big screen.

Agathe de La Boulaye, an international career

Born in 1972 in Paris, Agathe de La Boulaye spent a large part of her childhood in the United States. A few years later, back in her native country, the young girl, now a teenager, discovered a passion for theater.

Very quickly, she went through castings and signed several small contracts in advertisements and films, such as Jefferson in Paris by James Ivory. She plays a card player, alongside Nick Nolte, Thandiwe Newton, Gwyneth Paltrow, Vincent Cassel and Lambert Wilson.

Then, at the age of 27, through determination, Agathe de La Boulaye finally landed the role that revealed her to the general public: Lieutenant Caroline Tessier in the French detective series La Crim’. In total, the actress appeared in thirteen episodes, from 1999 to 2006.

Thanks to this spotlight, Agathe de La Boulaye obtained great opportunities in the cinema, notably playing a friend of Cécile de France in the romantic comedy Irène (2002), and the following year, she joined the cast of Michel Vaillant de Louis-Pascal Couvelaire.

In addition to these secondary roles in French TV and feature films, the actress began an international career. Indeed, she plays in the science fiction film AVP: Alien vs. Predator by British director Paul Anderson, where she plays Adèle Rousseau, the woman who referees the duel between the two fantastic creatures. This was followed by an appearance in the American war film The Last Drop, where she starred opposite Michael Madsen and Alexander Skarsgård.

Secondary characters in international productions, but also a leading role on national soil. Because after directing her first short film Le paravent (in 2003), Agathe de La Boulaye plays the heroine of the sentimental series If I Had Millions. She plays the character of Nathalie Vidal, from the Lingo winners’ service, who supports young millionaires in their new lives.

Since 2010, Agathe de La Boulaye has made numerous appearances in French series, such as Camping Paradis, Section de recherche, Falco, Riviera, and Mirage. More recently, we saw her in the detective TV film L’Oubliée d’Amboise, or in the comedy Aline by Valérie Lemercier, where she plays the photo shoot editor.

Obviously, in terms of television fiction, Agathe de La Boulaye is probably not ready to let go of her character in the series Plus belle la vie, even plus belle. Good news for viewers?
