Miranda Derrick (Dance with the Devil) claims not to be part of a religious sect

Before the documentary series goes online Dance with the Devil on Netflix, Miranda Derrick’s parents and little sister created a buzz on Instagram by telling through a video that the dancer was being held against her will by the Shekinah church, founded by Robert Shinn. Allegations that Miranda Derrick had refuted. “I am not being held against my will and I have never been held hostage. I go to church and I have faith in God. If I ever want to pursue my faith elsewhere, I will and I will feel completely free to do so.”, she declared in a press release sent to the site The Cut. The dancer assured that she was in no way part of a religious sect and that members of the 7M firm were in regular contact with their families.
