Before settling down in Questembert (Morbihan), Major Ludovic Prigent had a long career in the gendarmerie. He first joined it during his military service. An environment he knows well since my father was a police officer
he assures. And he decides to stay.
Ludovic Prigent started as an auxiliary gendarme in Saint-Brieuc (Côtes-d’Armor), then Pléneuf-Val-André (Côtes-d’Armor) before joining the non-commissioned officer school at Maisons-Alfort in 1991. Under the snow!
Then, he was assigned for six years to the Nantes squadron (Loire-Atlantique) of the mobile gendarmerie. Numerous trips to mainland France and overseas will follow: Polynesia, Guyana, etc.
One of his career goals achieved
In 1997, Ludovic Prigent joined the territorial brigade in which he spent 27 years. Successively as deputy to the brigade commander of La Roche-Bernard – Nivillac, brigade commander at Le Faouët and finally Questembert, which he joined in 2012 as a major and where he ended his career.
For two years, after the departure of Captain Bonaventure, he has been commander of the brigade community. It was one of my career goals to command a brigade community

Surrounded by his family, the squadron leader commanding the Vannes company Fabien Dutartre, and many colleagues, Ludovic Prigent celebrated his retirement on Friday October 25, 2024. A departure which will be effective on December 1st.
While awaiting the arrival of the future commander of the brigade community, chief warrant officer Franck Decaudin is acting in the interim. For his retirement, Major Ludovic Prigent intends to give a priority to the family.
