Like every year, the end of May rhymes with the return of the 3 Elephants, to Laval (Mayenne). From May 26 to June 2, 2024, the festival offers a rich program with a multitude of concerts, but also street arts shows.
Place de Hercé, the temple of concerts
As for concerts, there is the unmissable Place de Hercé which brings together three sites: the Arena, located in the multipurpose hall; the Place, on the Place de Hercé; and the Garden Club, at the Jardin de la Perrine. La Place will welcome among others Étienne Daho, Luther, Yamé and Boys Noize. At L’Arène, festival-goers will be able to see H-JeuneCrack, Isaac Delusion, Aupinard, Creeds, etc. The Jardin club will welcome Kabeaushé, Dali, Gurriers, etc.
The city center, for street arts
The numerous street arts shows will be performed on the Esplanade du Château-Neuf, in the courtyard of the Vieux-Château, at the Ambroise-Paré high school and at the Avesnières high school. What to expect this year? Circus, theater, clown shows, a real fake conference, street science fiction, song and juggling. Multiple offerings for the whole family which will, for several of them, be performed on Saturday 1er and Sunday June 2.
The Esplanade du Château-Neuf will also give pride of place to local artists: students from the Avesnières high school will present Montmartre from another time and the Laval French Touch will distill its covers of the pop and classical repertoire revisited against a backdrop of electro music.
The village
Urban reverie with the Good Good Moods collective to create a fresco, radio competition with the Trompe d’Or School, school students who sing with Multitrack, orchestra class or DJ are some of the proposals of the 3 Elephants which will liven up the city center. The Village, located on Promenade Anne-d’Alègre, will be the gathering place for these artistic and musical moments.
Among the unusual, note the return of the savate throw, with the Back Home Festival, rue du Pin Dorée, a musical Bingo on Tuesday, or the “fatal kazoo battle” of the M’Lire bookstore, during which you will have to recognize the songs performed at the kazoo.
In Laval, but not only
THE Vallis Guidonis will host a concert by Rodolphe Burger on Sunday June 2. On 11-22 the tavern of the stop, traders from rue du Val-de-Mayenne, the Fourches district, the Théâtre de Laval but also Les Angenoises in Bonchamp will host events during the festival, between concerts and dream box .
