On May 25, the first edition of La Bonne santé was offered by the Le Bief cultural center and the Carton Plein association with the participation of high school students from the 1st ASSP (Care Support and Personal Services) of the Ambertois high school.

The health project

was born from the meeting between the Le Bief cultural center, Carton Plein, the Blaise Pascal high school, and the Ambert hospital center. How can art and culture take the pulse of care?

To try to answer, the high school girls met, with the Carton Plein collective, former workers from the Ambert hospice, and children from the Henri-Pourrat school. Through guided tours, unusual concoctions, an exhibition to examine the history of the area’s healthcare sites through a stethoscope, and an animated film, the high school students conveyed their vision of changing professions and places. For this first, it was in good weather that many local residents came to attend the shows, workshops and visit the exhibition created with the 1 D ASSP from Lycée Blaise Pascal. A work on the history of the hospice, its future and the evolution of care professions. The show Radio Michel

from the Belgian company Viktor French, addressed with tenderness and humor relationships in retirement homes and the way in which a radio can rekindle the links between residents to allow beautiful encounters.

Exchanges, debates and meetings The evening show Take Care, PLS

of the company La Berroca gave the floor to hospital workers such as caregivers, nurses, doctors, administrative staff, to show an environment under tension.

The day was rich in exchanges, debates, meetings, smiles and questions on how to care over time and awareness of the importance of public care services and the people who care for themselves. used to heal.

For some, caring is a vocation An opportunity also to highlight the high school’s specialist personal assistance sector. Young girls 1 D

ASSP are half internal and come from the entire region. In this training, half want to work with elderly people. What they like most about this job is the contact and the help they can provide on a daily basis. They also want to be valued, welcomed into caring teams.
