A farm was almost completely destroyed by a fire this Saturday, October 26, 2024 in Saint-Martin-d’Entraunes, in the far north of the Alpes-Maritimes department.
The disaster broke out in a 90 m² house on two floors in the hamlet Les Blancs.
As soon as they arrived on the scene, the Alpes-Maritimes firefighters were able to secure two gas cylinders, extracted from the home, then control the flames using two fire hoses.

But it was too late to save the farm from the blaze: the two levels and the roof were very badly damaged.
Four adults and a child were treated by the emergency services and, in the middle of the afternoon, were being examined by the firefighter. At this time, the causes of this fire were still unknown.
For the detachment dispatched by Sdis 06 (Departmental Fire and Rescue Service), namely 23 firefighters and eight engines, a long cooling and clearing work then began.
The gendarmerie as well as Enedis agents also went to the scene.
