The images are frightening to say the least! Yesterday police officers were attacked in Lorient by a man with a sword who struck several of them before finally being overpowered! The video was just published this morning by the Unité police union, which explains what happened:
“Yesterday, in Lorient, our colleagues intervened in support of a bailiff in a luxury car rental company. As soon as they arrived, the manager rushed at them with a saber and struck several of them. them, with a nameless savagery.
What coolness of our colleagues faced with the risk of death!
They could have used their lethal weapon!
Danger lurks in every Police mission. The delinquents and criminals who attack us no longer have limits. Our colleagues almost died! 3 of the police officers are injured. UN1TÉ wishes them a good recovery and expects them to benefit from all the support they deserve from the administration.”
Proceedings are open for attempted murder. It remains to be seen whether it will be requalified along the way…
