He was on foot in the Petit Nanterre district when he was targeted. This 19-year-old young man was at Place des Muguets, in the heart of this neighborhood, when a scooter came up to him. It was around 1 a.m. on Wednesday.
According to the first elements collected by the police, although this remains to be confirmed, the scooter was ridden by two people. One of these two people drew a handgun and fired at the victim, hitting him in the head.
This Wednesday morning, it was still difficult to know if there was a single shot fired. The fact remains that the projectile, caliber 7.62, again according to the first elements collected, puts the victim’s life in danger. With a bullet in his head, the young man was rushed to hospital for life.
Given the modus operandi, the route of settling scores seems the most obvious. The Nanterre public prosecutor’s office contacted the departmental judicial police service to identify and arrest the shooter and his possible accomplice. The profile of the victim, known for stories of narcotics, also supports the hypothesis of the settling of scores. However, at this stage, all avenues remain considered. The investigation has only just begun.
