Frouzins. The ultra-sporty day for college students

On Wednesday May 22, it was a day of exceptional sporting intensity experienced in Bordeneuve by around sixty students from 4 middle schools in the district: Pablo Picasso in Frouzins, Cantelauze in Fonsorbes, Léo Ferré in Saint-Lys and Nelson Mandela to Noah.

Indeed, from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., these young athletes engaged in a group of outdoor activities, supervised by their Physical Education and Sports (PES) teachers and nothing was spared, to their greatest joy.

Over around fifteen kilometers in total, the events continued all day long, in teams of 4, from 6th to 3rd and all levels combined.

This raid, operated within the framework of the National Union of School Sports (UNNSS) began with a 2.7 km trail then followed: 4 km run & bike (running and mountain biking); biathlon with 680 meter race + laser pistol shooting; 1.5 km kayak; orienteering (approximately 1.5 km); again run & bike of 3.5 km and finally “aqua’relais” (obstacle course to fetch water in a bucket with holes and fill your container as quickly as possible).

Crazy fun but exhausting.

Each event included drastic instructions while being timed.

Everyone’s motivations were relatively different: a taste for competition, the pleasure of practicing several complementary sports, the benefits of physical activity but always with a common leitmotif: solidarity and team spirit.

A day full of lessons from all sides.
