The price of tickets for the Eiffel Tower will increase by 20%!

Visiting the Eiffel Tower is a must-do activity during a stay in Paris. Most popular tourist attraction in Europethe Iron Lady would also be the monument where we complain the most about the queue in the world according to a study. But from June onwards, it is the price of an entrance ticket to the famous Parisian monument that could make people cringe. And for good reason: from June 17, the price of tickets for the Eiffel Tower will increase by 20%. What is the reason for this increase and how much will an entry ticket cost you from now on? We take stock.

Eiffel Tower ticket prices increase by 20%. Yes but why ?

This summer, from June 17, 2024, the price of tickets to access the Eiffel Tower will increase by 20%. Are the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in question, like the cancellation of the open-air cinema in La Villette? Well, not this time, imagine. The reason for this imminent price increase is quite different. In fact, the Eiffel Tower operating company claims to have had difficult days during the covid crisis. Instead of the expected 6.2 million visitors, the Eiffel Tower only welcomed 1.5 million visitors in 2020.

Significant financial losses, to which are added future work (and therefore new expenses), as well as occasional closures of the Tower elevators. All these reasons would justify a new price of access tickets. Yes, but what price?
