The champion looks back on his performance at the Paralympic Games. He took his three gold medals with him. “I don’t take them off. I even sleep with them,” he jokes.

For the athlete, “sport is like the life of a business manager. At the time of my puncture, during the Games, I could afford a small accident.” A small accident which did not prevent him from winning. Mathieu Bosredon even meets his most beautiful audience, the Corréziens, in Los Angeles, in 2028.

7:30 p.m. | Julia De Funès begins her intervention: “the feeling of fear has changed status”.2374f7cd1b.jpg

Fear, the precautionary principle, the abolition of risk, meaning… Julia de Funès applies philosophical concepts to the business world. Her comments, accessible and funny, particularly when she evokes the charisma of François Hollande, take the audience on, particularly on how, today, “we format managers”.

“Well-being at work is wishful thinking in advance,” she says. “Well-being is a concept specific to each person.

A matter between oneself and oneself. Today, we have plunged into ‘happiness processes’.

In a big company, you come in, it’s Disneyland.”

Julia de Funès denounces all “the processes which shape managers, well-being, goodwill at work… This mechanical logic no longer seems audible to the younger generations”.

“For me, trust is profitable”: Julia de Funès scrutinizes management

The philosopher explains “the crisis of meaning at work” by the technicalization of companies. “In the 17th and 19th centuries, companies innovated to make people freer and happier. Today, when Apple makes the iPhone 16, it is not to make people happier, but to avoid to be overtaken by Samsung (…)

The technique is the means. The meaning is the purpose. The more companies become technical, the more they lose meaning. It has become so technical that we no longer understand anything.

At any age, we need to know what we’re for.”

8:20 p.m. | Place for Trophies and the prize dedicated to creation

The creation prize will be presented by Françoise Cayre, president of the CCI of Corrèze. “Supporting a business creator at the start is essential, she insists. The risk for him is putting his money into it. Everyone here did it to create their business. Risk too, it’s an idea that confronts a market. Failure is also part of the life of a creator.”

8:33 p.m. |The 2024 Creation Prize rewards the company Algotech. efed7ec983.jpgNicolas Antunes created his company in February 2021, after his master’s degree in microbiology.

“In Corrèze, we have what we need in terms of agriculture and food, in particular. I wanted to promote all of this, as well as the profession of butcher-charcutier, which is being lost,” reacts the lucky winner .
