Michael Vaughan takes dig at Indian team after batting collapse in first Test against New Zealand

Former England skipper Michael Vaughan took a dig at the Indian cricket team after their disastrous batting collapse in the first Test against New Zealand. After rain washed away the opening day of the Test between India and New Zealand, cricketing action went underway on Thursday, October 17, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. India, after opting to bat first, got off to a disastrous start. New Zealand bowlers including Matt Henry and William ORourke showed no mercy and sent five Indian batters on duck.

India recorded their lowest total at home in a Test match. The Rohit Sharma-led side surpassed 53 runs posted by West Indies against Pakistan in 1986 and 53 runs by Pakistan against Australia at Sharjah in 2002. The team will now aim to bounce back with the ball. At the time of writing, New Zealand were batting at 30 without any loss.
