An accident causing the death of Liam Payne?
“Liam James Payne, songwriter and guitarist, former member of the band One Direction, died today after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Palermo”, police said in a statement.
A declaration which follows an intervention by the police, following “a call to 911 (the emergency number, editor’s note) reporting an aggressive man who may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol”, continues the press release.
Injuries that left no room for doubt
According to an official press release, the singer was suffering “very serious injuries following his fall”. The medical staff on site would then have “deceased”. “There was no possibility of resuscitation”declared the head of emergencies, Alberto Crescenti, on local television.
The doctor also said that emergency services had been called to the Casa Sur hotel in the Palermo district after receiving a call at 5:04 p.m. local time (8:04 p.m. GMT). Arriving seven minutes after the call, the team “found this man dead and later we found out he was a singer in a band”he said.
