: World Pain Day

World Pain Day: caregivers on the front line.

No one is safe from lower back pain, osteoarthritis, tendinitis, hematomas, etc.

Caregivers, like users, were yesterday looking for a solution for a widely shared problem: pain.

At the Sainte Musse hospital in , it all started with a conference on the theme of low back pain, with an observation: physical inactivity locks the patient in a vicious circle.

Appropriate physical activities can improve quality of life. Same advice for osteoarthritis, and many other pathologies which “poison” our daily lives.
Doctor Stéphanie Fassié, president of the Pain Control Committee (CLUD), was present to answer questions, and provide documents and practical advice, with an original approach: raising awareness of complementary, non-drug approaches.

If you are familiar with hypnosis and the practice of Shiatsu, you can wonder about subcutaneous resonance… It is, in fact, a “needle-free acupuncture”, especially used in pediatrics. A practice born in the , and reserved, until now, for caregivers.

A day of discussions and information which also made it possible to address the screening of neuropathic pain and the risks of opioid overdose, with, in conclusion, advice: physical activity is “also” analgesic….

The conference took place in the presence of Mr. Yann Le Bras, director of CHITS, Doctor Kamel Mechtouf, head of the rheumatology department, Doctor Stéphanie Fassie, algologist and president of the Pain Control Committee.
