It is a Camargue race which launches, this Thursday, May 16, the Feria in the arenas. Featured, Castella, the golden biòu of the Saumade manade.
“We are lucky to have the golden biòu. We had this opportunity two weeks ago. We seized it to make this race a poster worthy of an Ace trophy final.” Hadrien Poujol had a smile on Monday at the Nîmes corral, on the sidelines of the presentation of the bulls who will be fought during the bullfights, when he was invited to talk about the Camargue race which launches, this Thursday, the bullfighting shows of this Feria 2024 .
And for good reason, it will be enhanced by the presence of the star bull of the moment from the Saumade herd and confirms the important place that the Nîmes arenas are once again taking. The poster is XXL with the golden biòu, therefore, but also the formidable and feared Vizir and Vicar, his congeners from the Saumade manade, or even the promising Ripart, biòu of the future 2022 from the Didelot-Langlade manade.
There is now a race worthy of the name for the Feria. There are also, on the occasion of Thursdays in Nîmes, two meetings in August which each attract 5,000 people who are as much fans of Camargue races as tourists keen to discover this practice.
Nîmes will also be a stronghold of bouvine this season since it will end on Sunday October 13 with the final of the Ace trophy.
