A very typical musical phrasing

The one we call the Chinese has always had his guitar itching. A fan of Django Reinhardt, he has refined a very distinctive musical phrasing that is recognizable among thousands.

After many concerts everywhere in in the plus grands festivalshe founded his group, Chinois & Friends, and collaborated on the Olympia stage at the gypsy jazz evening organized for the benefit of the Association for Cancer Research.

He played alongside Tchavolo Schmitt, notably during the international festival of Roma culture, in Riga, in Latvia. He also participated in a tribute album to Yves Montand on the occasion of the 25e anniversary of the death of the singer and actor.

During this gypsy jazz concert which will offer a Django Reinhardt retrospective, the Chinese will be accompanied on guitar by Benji Winterstein and on double bass by Antoine Godey, a native who has become a master of scat. Powerful and soft, sensual and precise, Heidi Adel’s voice will reinforce the intensity of the three musicians’ playing.
