After the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, Occitanie. The Olympic flame arrives this Monday, May 13 in the region. Starting today with Aveyron and Hérault where Millau, Sète and Montpellier will open the ball. The Pyrénées-Orientales are next on the list on Wednesday May 15, after a short detour to Corsica on May 14.
In total, 64 territories, including five ultramarines, are affected by the passage of the Olympic flame. Athletes, personalities, entrepreneurs, volunteers, employees… 10,000 scouts will take over, each covering 200 meters, or four minutes. Many activities are obviously on the program. The security system used is exceptional.
The journey will end on the evening of July 26, probably at the top of the Eiffel Tower, during the opening ceremony. Before the big show begins.
