For Me Alexis Deswaef, the lawyer for Ibrahima Barrie’s family, the death of the young man in the cell is manslaughter due to lack of foresight and precaution.
The King’s prosecutor, for his part, requested on Friday the acquittal of two of the four police officers prosecuted before the Brussels criminal court. He also ruled inadmissible the summons to appear before the court of the two other agents. The trial is particularly closely followed.
