According to Météo-France, the disturbance, which should begin during the night from Monday to Tuesday, should cause heavy amounts of rain.

Significant amounts of rain expected

“The precipitation will be intense and could lead to accumulations of around a hundred mm in three hours to six hours. Over the episode (approximately twelve hours) it is expected from 150 to occasionally 200 mm,” explained the National Institute of Meteorology.

In the departments going from Rhône to Alpes-Maritimes, accumulations could reach 60 to 80 mm, and locally more, in twenty-four hours. The Burgundy-Franche-Comté region should also be impacted. In the Franche-Comté departments on orange alert, we should record 50 to 70 mm of rain in just 12 hours.

The meteorological deterioration should leave France to the east, towards Germany and Belgium, at midday on Tuesday, October 8.
