Murder with a shovel? A particularly disturbing scene visible on Google Street View

Could a Google Car passing through Olette, in the Pyrénées-Orientales, have helped solve a murder last September? This is what an image captured by the car from the famous firm might suggest.

We can indeed see in the photograph captured by the car a man brandishing a shovel and seeming to want to bring it down on another man kneeling in front of him.

A nearby dump truck seems to suggest that the murderer has planned his attack and intends to take his victim’s body to a concealed location.

However, it turned out that the photo was in reality the result of a particularly well-executed staging.

“The death radar” is hidden so often that it is even on Google Street View: it has claimed more than 5,000 victims in a few months

Google Map has thus welcomed an additional unusual scene that is particularly attractive for Internet users fond of this type of photography. We can therefore reassure ourselves and salute the creativity of these actors for an afternoon.
