France Bleu Berry is broadcasting this Monday live from Bourges with special broadcasts from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. This day comes as Saint-Étienne Cathedral celebrates this year the 700 years of its consecration. The Catholic building was built between the end of the 12th and the end of the 13th century and was consecrated on May 13, 1324. Throughout the year, festivities are therefore organized to highlight this heritage.
But beyond these celebrations, Bourges continues its transformation. She was designated European Capital of Culture in 2028. Furthermore, it wants to be a strong point of the French defense industry for two centuries with more than 5,500 jobs, one of the main European employment areas in armaments.
