Societies need role models, “admirable” personalities who illustrate a system of values and ambitions. This is important, because every new generation also learns by imitation. But who is admirable today?
Elon Musk, Kim Kardashian, Jeff Bezos or Victoria Beckham are famous, but is that enough? Today, when we ask the question of people admired, we very often find other names: Nelson Mandela, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, Abbé Pierre or Alexeï Navalny.
Le Temps publishes columns, written by members of the editorial staff or external people, as well as opinions and columns, proposed to personalities or requested by them. These texts reflect the point of view of their authors. They in no way represent the position of the media.
