Tunisian olive oil has just won 32 medals including 26 gold medals at the International and European Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition “EIOOC” held from May 6 to 9, 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland, ranking, thus, at the forefront in European competitions in this field.
The President of GIOOC (gathering of the largest international extra virgin oil competitions), Raouf Chouket, indicated in a statement to the TAP agency, that the medals won by Tunisia are distributed between 26 gold medals for quality of the product, 4 gold medals in the Health category and two silver medals.
“14 countries participated in this competition, namely Tunisia, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Brazil, France, Croatia, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Jordan, Algeria , Libya and Portugal,” he said.
The jury for this international competition included 10 experts and tasters from Tunisia, Greece, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey and Croatia.
