The Algerian brand Dahbia has just won another international distinction for its green fruity extra virgin olive oil product. The brand won the gold medal at an international competition in Switzerland.

The international Eiooc competition held in Geneva, Switzerland, from May 6 to 9, 2024, saw the participation of Dahbia, an Algerian label. The event brings together, every year, operators in the olive sector from five continents.

Dahbia oil, produced in one of the largest olive farms in Algeria, located in Aïn Oussara, on the Djelfa highlands, won the gold medal in the Eiooc international competition.

The announcement was made this Wednesday, May 8, by the company on its Facebook page. “ It is with great pleasure and great joy that we announce that your Dahbia olive oil has just won a gold medal at the European international olive oil competition, Eiooc Geneva. », welcomes the brand.

As a reminder, this is not the first time that Dahbia olive oil has distinguished itself internationally by winning gold and silver medals. The brand has, in fact, already shone in international competitions in London, Tokyo, Berlin, Oslo, Dubai, Athens…

Best extra virgin olive oil in the world »

In Geneva, Dahbia was classified “ best extra virgin olive oil in the world », We can read in the certificate of participation posted on the Algerian company’s page.

This new award is in addition to six other gold medals obtained by the brand in international competitions organized in recent years in Tokyo, Berlin, Italy and twice in a row in Dubai.

During the previous edition of the Eiooc Geneva competition, held in May 2023, Dahbia olive oil also won the gold medal.

Hakim Alileche, owner of the brand, revealed to the APS, during last year’s distinction in Switzerland, the elaboration of the results of each international competition in which his brand participated.

The results are submitted, according to him, “ to a number of criteria, laboratory analyzes and reports from experts of several nationalities which require the participation of a very high quality product meeting international standards, the level of which we work to preserve, or even improve. “.
