Stormy Daniels told Donald Trump’s “hush money” trial that she could speak to dead people.
Cross-examined by lawyers acting for the former president, Ms Daniels, an adult film star who claimed to have had an affair with Mr Trump in 2006, said she told people she could “speak with their dead relatives”.
Susan Necheles, a defense lawyer, asked if Ms Daniels’ boyfriend had ever questioned her sanity, prompting an objection from the prosecution. She appeared to be attempting to discredit the testimony of Ms Daniels, who has spent two days giving evidence.
At another point, Ms Necheles asked: “You’ve made a show and a podcast claiming you can speak with dead people, right?”
Ms Daniels previously worked as a writer and director on the documentary-style program “Spooky Babes”, in which she investigates paranormal activity.
“It was a lot of interesting and unexplained activity,” Ms Daniels said. “A lot of the activity was completely debunked like a giant possum.”
At a fraud trial for her former lawyer in 2022, Ms Daniels said she used “cards” and “meditation” to communicate with the dead, but did not know exactly how it happened.
