The Ukrainian armed forces destroyed part of the Russian attack aircraft that entered Krasnohorivka. Ukraine does not let the enemy dig deeper

Ukrainian soldiers eliminated part of the assault groups of Russian troops that managed to penetrate the Krasnohorivka refractory plant in the Donetsk region. Some of those who remained are in a difficult situation, as they are practically deprived of ammunition and armored vehicles. The fighting continues.

This was reported by Lieutenant Colonel Nazar Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Khortytsia operational and strategic group, during an interview on national television on May 9.

According to him, from time to time, isolated groups of occupiers try to enter the eastern outskirts of Krasnohorivka on armored vehicles, but more often they go there on foot or on motorcycles.

Currently, the defense forces are preventing the Russians from entering Krasnohorivka, using artillery and mortars to destroy the enemy in this area. Ukrainian soldiers thus slowed down the advance of the occupiers, both inside and outside the city.

According to the joint forces operation, 11 assaults, 2 counterattacks and about 120 enemy drone drops took place in the Krasnohorivka region over the past day.
