Accident and fatal hit-and-run on Highway 15 in Laval, the SQ is looking for this van


The victim was struck while he was on the edge of the shoulder to repair a puncture.

The Sûreté du Québec is asking for the public’s help in finding witnesses to a hit-and-run incident that occurred in Laval on May 9, in the morning.

It was around 5:15 a.m. that emergency services went to Highway 15, heading north, near the Gédéon-Ouimet bridge, in Laval, regarding a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

According to initial information, a vehicle stopped in the right lane due to a puncture. As the driver got out of his vehicle to carry out the repair, a pickup truck hit him. The victim was pronounced dead on site. The victim was found in front of the vehicle.

The driver of the van did not remain at the scene. He was driving a white Ford F-150 pickup truck.

Investigators are seeking to meet with anyone who may have witnessed the event or who may have information about the suspect vehicle.
