Tunisian olive oil has just won 32 medals, including 26 gold medals, at the International and European Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition “EIOOC” held from May 6 to 9, 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland, thus ranking first in European competitions in this field.
The President of GIOOC (gathering of the largest international extra virgin oil competitions), Raouf Chouket, indicated in a statement to the TAP agency, that the medals won by Tunisia are distributed between 26 gold medals for quality of the product, 4 gold medals in the Health category and two silver medals.
“Fourteen countries participated in this competition, namely Tunisia, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Brazil, France, Croatia, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Jordan, Algeria, Libya and Portugal,” he said.
