Both cars were disabled due to the violence of the impact. Firefighters say it was an accident “high kinetics” (mass-speed ratio, Editor’s note). It occurred on Wednesday May 8, shortly after 6 p.m., route de Paris, in Carquefou, east of Nantes.

An Audi RS3 is believed to be the cause of the accident. She was driving very fast and apparently ran a red light at an intersection located not far from the Jardiland store, on this two-lane road limited to 70 km/h.

Slightly injured, the driver, aged 25, was taken to hospital, according to firefighters. He allegedly tried to flee on foot before being caught and taken into care. The driver of the vehicle hit was also slightly injured.
