It was around 9:35 p.m. this Wednesday evening, when a couple, man and woman, were walking on the sidewalk near Grand-Camp. A car would have passed too close to them, and while driving through a puddle, would have splashed, intentionally or not, the pedestrians. The man then complained to the reckless driver, but he got a bad rap. The tone rose and the motorist then allegedly took out a bladed weapon before striking his interlocutor several times, seriously injuring him in the legs and hand, he was taken care of by the emergency services. Her friend who accompanied her would also have been brutalized by this same individual, but would not a priori be injured, but shocked.
The perpetrator on the run
The suspect then immediately fled with his vehicle; he is currently being sought by the police. A national police investigation was opened in order to identify him, and entrusted to the on-call services of the Pointe-à-Pitre central police station. An action that could amount to attempted homicide, even if the victim’s vital prognosis is not in jeopardy.
